This article is for the mobile iOS Captions app. If you require help with the web app feature, please follow this article.
Step-by-Step: Editing your captions
Open the App
Go into the VEED Captions app.
Find the project
Head into the project and tap Edit.
Edit the captions
Tap on the subtitle you want to edit. This will bring up the keyboard so you can edit the subtitle.
Delete captions
To delete a caption, click on Timing, tap on the subtitle on the timeline you want to delete, and tap on the Delete button.
Adding captions
To add more captions, simply tab into the subtitle after which you want to add more, and start typing on your keyboard. Each time you tap on space, it will create a new subtitle that you can time.
Merge and Split
By default, when you type in your subtitles, they will be added to the same subtitle box. Selecting one of the subtitles(not the first in the subtitle box) and then tapping Slip will split the subtitle and the ones that follow it into the next subtitle box. Tapping Merge will merge them back with the previous subtitle box.
Finish editing
After you are done editing, tap on Done.
